No Roof Left Behind Project in Fairhaven, MA is Complete!

No Roof Left Behind Project in Fairhaven, MA is Complete!

After weeks of nominations, reviewing finalists, and voting, our No Roof Left Behind program in Bristol County, MA is now complete!

This is the first year we have participated in No Roof Left Behind, a national initiative that connects local contractors with deserving homeowners in their No Roof Left Behind Bristol County MAcommunity. Kari Miller of Fairhaven was nominated by a friend and won the contest through No Roof Left Behind’s online voting website – she took home 42% of the vote.

Kari was ecstatic about winning. “This means more than I can express in words.  Knowing that our roof will be fixed and we won’t have any more leaks definitely brings peace of mind.” said the single mother of four.

GAF Timberline RoofKari’s new GAF Timberline Lifetime Roofing System will put a stop to damaging leaks and provide her home with much needed ventilation. The old, three tab roof was failing and did not meet current wind ratings. Her new GAF roof features drip edge, ice and water shield, a GAF Cobra Ridge Vent, and Timberline HD roofing shingles in Charcoal Black. Kari’s four children show their appreciation with homemade signs.

Despite blustery weather conditions, we hosted an installation celebration for Kari and her friends and family. Our Care Free crew and GAF Roofing Representative, Andrew Paetow, also joined the festivities. With delicious pizza donated by the Pasta House of Fairhaven and an overflowing platter of Black Tie Cookies donated by BTC’s Nicole Tracz – a great time was had by everyone in attendance.

During a recent WBSM radio interview with Phil Paleologos, an emotional Kari Miller expressed her appreciation. “I’m very grateful for the nomination, the community, the support, the votes…..I’m overwhelmed, I’m grateful but I also look at how can I, after this experience, pay it forward to someone else and get more involved with Care Free Homes next year to do more for the people in our community.” Miller said.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kari and her children and thank each of our business partners and the United Way of Greater New Bedford for helping make our first No Roof Left Behind program a huge success!
