As another great year of home improvement and construction comes to a close, we glimpse back at a handful of our favorite 2015 projects. These Care Free homes underwent some pretty amazing transformations – they were the projects that made us oooh and ahhh at the final photos. Take a look – we hope you’ll love them too.
Nonquitt House | Project Type: New Construction
Oh boy….this one here’s a beauty! I love me some classic New England shingle style! The Nonquitt house in South Dartmouth, MA is simply elegant. Nothing ostentatious – just a gorgeous summer home that makes you wish you were on vacation there. From the woven western red cedar shingles and green aluminum clad Andersen windows to the sunroom and rocking chairs on the mahogany wrap around porch – it just oozes nostalgic charm. Historic New Bedford Home | Project Type: Vinyl Siding
Who said you 
can’t have your cake and eat it too?! You don’t have to sacrifice historic charm while going maintenance free on your home exterior. This New Bedford, MA homeowner got the best of both worlds with Mastic vinyl siding and fabricated aluminum trim. We maintained the original character of the home by refurbishing the original corbels below the soffits and the front porch. Sweepstakes House | Project Type: Vinyl Siding, Replacement Windows, Roofing
Asphalt shingles are perfect for your roof but not for your siding. These lucky Fairhaven, MA homeowners traded in their not-so-pretty asphalt siding when they became winners of our Care Free $25,000 Home Makeover. They scored new Mastic Carvedwood vinyl siding, Harvey Classic vinyl replacement windows, and a GAF Timberline HD roofing system. Meet the family and watch the home’s transformation in our video series. New Shingles, New Look | Project Type: Roofing
Homeowners don’t often realize how much a new roof improves curb appeal. This New Bedford, MA roof was overcooked – major granule loss, lifting and curling shingles – it was definitely time to replace. They transformed the look of their entire home by simply installing a new GAF Timberline HD roofing system. Get your wow-wee ready (zoom in on the final pic and you might see the flecks of red in their Williamsburg Slate colored shingles) the before and afters of this roof are THAT awesome!
The Sunset Room | Project Type: Conventionally Framed, Year Round Sunroom
A painting inspired this homeowner to build this lovely sunroom. An abundance of natural light through Harvey windows combined with chestnut floors, white trim, and fiesta orange colored walls make you want to take a nap in this cozy room. If you like movie flip books than you’ll love this blog – we’ve got super snazzy start to finish photos that begin from initial framing to project completion. Pretty in Pink | Project Type: Betterliving Three Season Porch Enclosure
A Rochester, MA homeowner wanted to extend the use of their back porch by installing a Betterliving three season porch enclosure. Protection from the weather and the bugs make this room the perfect place for dining, reading, or relaxing. Floor to ceiling glass provides this homeowner with a panoramic view of their landscape.
