A Colonial style home in Fairhaven, MA received the Care Free home spa treatment with a new CertainTeed roof, Mastic vinyl siding, Harvey windows, and a new portico!
This busy family of six wanted a beautiful home with a maintenance free exterior – less stuff on the Honey-Do list meant more time for family fun!
We started this project by stripping the old three-tab roof and installing a new CertainTeed Landmark roofing system in Weathered Wood. (We are a CertainTeed ShingleMaster – an accreditation that separates us from your pickup truck contractor) This roof comes with a SureStart™ warranty against manufacturer defects, StreakFighter™ warranty against shingle discoloration, and a wind rating up to 130 mph.
The homeowners chose Mastic Carvedwood 44 vinyl siding in Colonial Yellow which mimics the color and texture of natural, painted cedar clapboards. (Did I mention we are also a Mastic Elite contractor?!) To complete the custom siding installation and provide the look of natural siding, all of the windows, doors, rakes, fascia, and corner boards are individually wrapped with fabricated aluminum trim.
Because the home was only 14 years old, replacement windows could not be used. We installed Harvey Vicon Classic new construction windows with a six over six grid pattern. These high quality vinyl windows tilt in for easy cleaning and will provide a lifetime of energy efficiency.
To complete the transformation, a new Therma Tru front door was installed along with a charming portico. Complete with AZEK decking in slate gray, AZEK rails in white, fiberglass columns, and Kleer PVC vertical skirt, this new portico provides architectural interest and protection from the weather.
