
Fall is a beautiful time of year to get outside and have fun with the kiddos! Here are a few local activities to keep you entertained this month.
October 2015 – Pick-your-own apples and pumpkins at Keith’s Farm in Acushnet, MA with hayrides and snacks. See website for detailed hours.
October 8, 2015 – AHA night in Downtown New Bedford will feature pumpkin lighting, nighttime farmers market, food vendors, scarecrow making, a lighted labyrinth at the public library and treat bags from the United Way!
October 10, 2015 – Fairhaven Visitors Center is hosting a Harvest Fun Day from 10am-4pm and will include pumpkin decorating, games, good, face painting and entertainment.
October 10 & 11, 2015 – The 12th annual Cranberry Harvest Celebration is scheduled from 10am-4pm. Stop by to enjoy harvest demonstrations, craft tents, food vendors, paddleboat rides, music, kids activities and lots more!
October 9-11, 16-18, 23-25 and 30th – Buttonwood Park’s Boo at the Zoo will be open for trick-or-treating, spooky train rides, carousel rides and a haunted walk. Our own Care Free crew will be sponsoring a treat station October 23-25 so be sure to stop by and see us!
October 24, 2015 – Wareham Crossing’s Boo Bash from 10am – 1pm will feature trick or treating, face painting, pumpkin decorating, music and a photobooth!
October 29, 2015 – House of Music will feature a Halloween Carnival from 3-7pm that will include a parade costume, pumpkin decorating, a “Thriller” dance show and more free fun!
October 30, 2015 – Melissa’s Pet Depot in Dartmouth will be having a pet costume party at 5pm! Dress Fido up and bring him to a party!
October 31, 2015 – The Zeiterion is showing a triple feature Halloween movie spook-athon starting at at 11am with fun classics Hocus Pocus, Goonies & Ghostbusters!
