FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 9, 2023 – Fairhaven, MA – Five homeowners are in the running for a free roof thanks to the 8th Annual New Year, New Roof Giveaway, a contest hosted by local home improvement contractor, Care Free Homes, Inc.
Communities from Cape Cod, Rhode Island, and Southeastern Massachusetts nominated deserving homeowners for a free GAF Timberline HDZ roofing system earlier this month. Five finalists were selected to advance to the voting stage and the community will vote online to choose the winner.
The five finalists include: Bonnie DeGregorio of New Bedford, MA; Rita DeSouza of New Bedford, MA; Matthew Laflamme of Fall River, MA; Ernie and Judy Machado of Acushnet, MA; Joe and Sue Mello of Wareham, MA.
“Our family has been dedicated to community and home improvement for 45 years. This contest gives our company the opportunity to build relationships and make a positive impact in the lives of others. It’s a wonderful way for us to highlight some amazing people who need the help of a caring and compassionate neighbor.” said Care Free Homes Marketing Coordinator, Stephanie Pickup.
The community can read the stories of each finalist and cast their votes online January 10-15, 2023 via the Care Free Homes, Inc. website at https://carefreehomescompany.com. The winner will be announced with a surprise reveal on or around Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
The New Year, New Roof Giveaway is made possible thanks to a partnership between Care Free Homes, Inc. and GAF Roofing, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer. Contest community partners include: Black Tie Cookies, United Way of Greater Fall River, United Way of Greater New Bedford, and Isaksen Solar. Black Tie Cookies donates their gourmet cookie bouquets to all the finalists and the winner. Isaksen Solar donates gift certificates to all the finalists and the winner. United Way assists with community outreach and connects all five finalists to resources for health, education, and financial stability.
