October 19, 2015 – Fairhaven, MA – Care Free Homes, Inc. is excited to announce the No Roof Left Behind winner of Bristol County, Massachusetts; the community chose the winner of a new roof via online voting two weeks ago.
Kari Miller, a single mother of four children from Fairhaven, Massachusetts took home 42% of the vote to win. She won a GAF Timberline roofing system, a Char Broil Grill from Mahoney’s Building Supply, yard clean up services from Yard Boss Landscape Design, gas fill up and oil change from Neighborhood Auto Services, tire rotation, balance, and alignment from Roland’s Tire, hair cut and product gift basket from Gloss Hair Salon, and a gourmet cookie bouquet from Black Tie Cookies. The Pasta House will donate their fire deck oven pizzas for the roof installation celebration.
“I am beyond thrilled that the community and local, small businesses could help a hard working single mom. Kari and her family are so deserving of this generosity.” said Monique Major, a friend who nominated Miller as a finalist.
Bristol County homeowners were nominated for a free roof by family, friends and neighbors last month. Care Free Homes selected four finalists and then invited the public to read each of their stories before casting their vote for a winner.
The other finalists, Carol Chase, James and Delores Furtado, and Jimmy Gomes, were all New Bedford residents. Each of the finalists will also receive a gourmet cookie bouquet from Black Tie Cookies. The Sail Loft of Padanaram, Pub 99 Restaurant of Fairhaven, and Care Free Homes will donate additional prizes.
This is the first year Care Free Homes has participated in No Roof Left Behind, a nationwide program that connects local contractors and their community so they may help struggling homeowners. The local home improvement company partnered with GAF Roofing, No Roof Left Behind, and the United Way of Greater New Bedford. Care Free Homes will now make No Roof Left Behind an annual event.
