Initial Site Visit
One of our design consultants will meet with you at your home for an initial meeting. Together, we will discuss your needs, wants, and the desired outcome for your project. It is preferable to discuss your budget ranges up front to ensure a realistic project scope. We will discuss a strategy and plan that will ensure that your home remodeling or building meets your expectations, fulfills your needs, and enhances your lifestyle. The goal of the first meeting is to develop budget parameters, scope of work, preliminary sketches, and preliminary material selections.
Contract (Detailed Job Specification)
Our second meeting can take place at your home or in our Fairhaven, Massachusetts office. During this meeting, we will review the budget parameters, scope of work, preliminary sketches, and building material choices made during our first meeting. Our custom home building design team will discuss pricing and seek a preliminary commitment from you in regards to scope and pricing. With your commitment, we will produce detailed job specifications and a construction contract. Once we enter into a construction contract, a deposit is required to enter the design stage.
Design Stage
Our team will meet with the designer to produce working drawings. Initially, approval is sought on floor plans and elevations. Usually, this is a multi-meeting process during which the layout and details are refined. Once the floor plans and elevations are approved, the drawing can be completed. With the plans completed, the necessary building permits are obtained. Building a house is a complex and detailed process that requires professional management. Prior to construction, CFH Custom Home Builders has planned and scheduled your project to ensure timely completion.
Construction Stage
CFH Custom Home Builders employs the construction industry’s most skilled craftsman and trades contractors. While the work is being completed, our team will take every precaution to minimize disruption to your normal living conditions. This includes daily job site cleanup and securing tools and equipment. Keeping in contact with the home owner will ensure that you are kept up-to-date with our work progress and schedules. It is our goal to make the home building or renovation process smooth and enjoyable.
Completion of Project
The day you have waited for has arrived on time and on budget. Our team of professionals will complete a final walk through with the home owner to ensure complete satisfaction. During this walk through, we will address any outstanding issues you may have with the project. Matters that need attention will be taken care of in a timely manner.
